Arpeggiomatic
She walks along side
My dignity and pride
Parading my thoughts
Like a circus bear
I wish that she would talk
And let in some light
And stop me stumbling
Over my words and tongue
She knows that I'm afraid
Of her losing faith
In my body, my mind,
And my sleepy love
Which makes me wonder why
With her cruel lies
She disrobes and dethrones
Casts me in the street
She's slowly rising up to me
She's touching my face
She hides away behind
Your chocolate-coloured eyes
Your milky-white skin
Everything is quiet
I do not hear a sound
It's funny how you treat me like I'm something you hate
Misused, abused on the end of your dinner plate
You know that I am poor
Hungry for your help
To show me that I'm doing everything right by you
And then you look away
And my doubt descends
Why do you like to leave me in tatters?
Yeah, she's slowly rising up to me
She's touching my belt
She hides away behind
Her white skin as white as a doll's
Before I need to breathe
She's rising on up
Oh, she's rising on up
Oh, she's rising next to ??
Oh won't you talk to me
